Celebrate the GRASP Research Experience for Teachers (RET) summer program on Friday, August 18, 2017! 10 Middle School teachers from the School District of Philadelphia will each present their projects conducted under the mentorship of Penn GRASP PhDs and faculty. These robotics research projects are the foundation for activities and practices they will implement in their classrooms during the school year. The presentations are an inspiring way to hear about the cutting-edge research of GRASP and celebrate the great accomplishments of these School District of Philadelphia Middle School math and science teachers!

During the Symposium, teachers will present for 15 minutes each on their research, experience, and the curriculum units developed in the program in the areas of computer vision, legged robotics, rehabilitative robotics, human-robot interaction, and flying robots. Presentations will be followed by a lunch and poster session conducted by teachers.

Funding for the RET program comes from the National Science Foundation (#1542301).
