David Levine

David is a Ph.D. student at the University of Pennsylvania in the department of Mechanical Engineering & Applied Mechanics, who works in Dr. Cynthia Sung's group. His research interests include bio-inspired soft robotics, 3-D printing, robot self-assembly and robotic exploration of adverse environments (both terrestrial & extraterrestrial). David graduated from Cornell University in May 2017, with a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. While at Cornell, David performed research in Dr. Rob Shepherd's Organic Robotics Lab and Dr. Mason Peck's Space Systems Design Studio. In addition to his undergraduate research, David also participated in internships with SpaceX and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
