Penn Engineering High School Internship

Penn Engineering High School Internship

The Penn Engineering High School Internship Program (HIP) is a seven-week summer research experience for rising high school juniors and seniors from Philadelphia schools interested in STEM fields. This year’s program will run from June 22 to August 7, 2026.

Students in the program are paired with mentors in fields aligned with their interests. While the structure of each research internship may vary, all interns are expected to participate full-time for the duration of the seven-week program. At the conclusion of the summer experience, interns present their work through a poster presentation.

Both students and mentors will receive stipends.
