UPenn MAGIC 2010 First-Round Competition

Led by Professor Daniel D. Lee, the University of Pennsylvania MAGIC2010 team has been chosen as one in twelve teams from five countries that has been shortlisted to compete in the first round of the MAGIC 2010 robot challenge. "Australia, U.S. name finalists in worldwide robotics competition"

Six high-tech science and technology teams from four continents have been named finalists in the inaugural Multi Autonomous Ground-Robotic International Challenge, or MAGIC......They have been selected by the U.S. and the Australian departments of defense to compete this November in Australia in an effort to develop the next generation of fully-autonomous ground robots.

The six teams are:

• Cappadocia – Ankra, Turkey
• Chiba – Tokyo
• Magician – Perth, Australia
• RASR – Fredericksburg, Md.
• Team Michigan – Ann Arbor, Mich.
• University of Pennsylvania – Philadelphia
