Dr. Likhachev is an Associate Professor with the Robotics Institute and National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC), both part of School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. He is also a co-founder of TravelWits.com, a site that uses techniques from Artificial Intelligence to find cheaper ways to travel, and a founder of RobotWits aimed at developing advanced planning and decision-making technologies for self-driving vehicles. Finally, he has most recently joined Waymo as a Senior Staff Software Engineer.
