Tianhong “Sam” Wen

Tianhong, or Sam, is currently a first-year Robotics Master’s student at the University of Pennsylvania’s GRASP Lab. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 2019 with a B.S.E. in Computer Science and a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering. His current research interests are machine perception and deep learning, and the application field he’s most interested in is autonomous driving. Outside of class and research, he likes photography, playing board games, watching movies, and getting involved in the Penn communities. In fall 2020, he serves as a ROBO alternate representative on EMAB (Engineering Master’s Advisory Board).
