Tianyu is a first year PhD student advised by Prof. Nadia Figueroa. His research interests lie primarily in the areas of machine learning, control theory, and perception with an emphasis on physical human-robot interaction. Tianyu received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.S. in Robotics from Northwestern University.
