Siddharth Mayya is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics working with Vijay Kumar. His research focuses on the design of scalable and resilient algorithms for robot swarms operating under difficult conditions – ranging from extreme sensory limitations to environmental and adversarial disturbances. Currently, he is investigating how heterogeneity in the capabilities of the robots within a team can be leveraged to achieve multi-task coordination which is resilient to environmental disturbances as well as failures occurring among the robots.
